STOP! Baby Time...

Well, I guess it’s time we talk about the BIG news around here, so...

YAY FOR BABY SADIE!! Born September 12, weighing a hearty 8lbs 2oz and CUTE. AS. A. BUTTON!! Yes, we’re very happy to welcome this little squishy baby into the family brigade. Oh, and early congratulations to mom for getting 7 (come November, anyhow) grandkids in an astonishing 3 years!! You’ve handled it well. :)

Not much going on here. I am just getting pregnanter and envying Shannon’s no longer pregnant status. Sage and Orion are doing well. Sage likes to lift up my shirt slightly, say “Baby?” and give my belly a little kiss. Orion likes to pat my belly and giggle at himself about it. Anyhow, I will leave this post short and direct all attention on our beloved sister. I will hopefully be able to post more soon. But until then, I will just keep batting at these mosquitos who are letting me know- quite rudely buzzing in my ears- that they are unhappy with my decision to put on bug spray. Yay for using the laptop on the front porch.

If Shannon would ever check this page! I mean, what does she spend all her time doing, for crying out loud?

To Adena: I was in Chick-fil-A today having lunch with Rochelle and our 6 collective children. I was standing up holding Julian when he just stuck his hand right down my spaghetti-strap tank top into my bra and grabbed my boob. Right out in public. I guess that's probably not quite the same thing as patting a pregnant belly. But more than a little embarrassing. :)

Caryn- Haha! Yikes... gotta love that childish lack of constraint in public. Isn't it so hard not to want to lean in and say, "Child, PEOPLE are looking at us now. Thanks a LOT!"

Okay, I just got back from Ohio and I would love to provide some pictures, but for some reason, my camera won't download the pictures I took; it just keeps freezing up. So until I get that figured out, you're just going to have to trust me that Sadie is absolutely beautiful! She has a full head of dark hair, a very reddisn-pink complexion, and she has cheeks that rival Lara's. Actually, she looks a lot like Lara did (minus the bruising). She has a sweet and calm disposition. When she's awake she just lays and looks around like she's very curious about where she is, and she looks directly at you when you talk to her.
Asher (who stole the hearts of the nurses at the hospital) is occasionally curious and gives her kisses, but since he is prone to hitting (not out of meanness, but out of boy-ness), he has to be watched when he's near her. I don't know that he's actually jealous; I think he's more just rambunctious!
At any rate, if I can coax my camera into divulging the data on it, I will share it with all of you.

Ah, being a two-year-old big brother. It can't be easy, I imagine. There are eyes to poke at and show mommy that you know where they are; and don't those little babies look like little stuffed animals that can be shoved and squeezed and thrown around??
